PT Amidis Tirta Mulia is a bottled water company that was established in 2002 using the Amidis trademark. Unlike many other bottled waters, Amidis was the first pioneer of distilled water in Indonesia which is produced from a combination of several processes including demineralization, reverse osmosis filtration, purification by distillation, and sterilization by ozonation. These processes produce purified water with 0 PPM (parts per million), free of bacteria and viruses, and have various benefits for the body. To guarantee the quality of its products, Amidis has obtained quality standard certification from authorized institutions, including SNI, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, halal by MUI, and BPOM.
Business challengesÂ
As a large enterprise, Amidis has 430 employees under its wings, mostly located in Bandung. With the large number of employees, Amidis faced challenges in accessing employee databases that were done offline and manually.
In addition, there were several positions and roles that worked more often in the field than in the office, such as salespeople. With a manual fingerprint attendance system in the office, this required sales to do round trips to the office just to clock-in their attendance. Amidis deemed this process to be very inefficient and took up sales work time from doing more strategic and essential work. Amidis was also constrained by the calculation of PPh 21 and other government deductions in the employee payroll process.
For several positions such as sales who have to do direct visits, if they have to go to the office to record their fingerprints, it will waste time, (especially) when they are being chased by targets.
